k.v.lakmali

I am Komala Vithanage Lakmali, an educator, researcher, and academic deeply committed to Buddhist studies, history, and education. With an extensive academic background, I have dedicated my life to exploring and teaching the profound wisdom of Buddhism while integrating it with contemporary scholarship.

I hold a Master’s Degree from the University of Colombo and a Bachelor’s Degree (Second Class Upper) in Buddhist Civilization from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Currently, I am pursuing an M.Phil. at the Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist University of Kelaniya and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) at the Open University of Sri Lanka. My academic journey has also included specialized courses in Tamil, English, and Computer Studies, allowing me to expand my teaching and research expertise across multiple disciplines.

As a lecturer and teacher, I have worked at leading institutions such as Eurasian International Institute (SIBCC Campus) and Royal Institute International School, Nugegoda. Previously, I served as a Buddhism teacher at Lyceum International School for four years and contributed as a Chief Examiner for Lyceum Assessments.

My role extends beyond teaching—I am an Advisor Board committee member at the National Institute of Education and an Employee Wellness Consultant for Accurosoft (PVT) LTD. Additionally, I have held key positions in educational institutions, corporations, and research organizations, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and well-being in multiple fields.

In addition to my teaching career, I have presented numerous research papers at international conferences, covering topics such as Buddhist history, religious studies, psychology, and philosophy. My published works delve into Buddhist education, philosophy, and contemporary applications of Buddhist teachings.
